A night out at the Carroll County Fair...with deep fried bread and cheese and pork tenderloin sandwiches!! Delicious! Here is from the left...Randy and Karen (my cousin's daughter), Diane and Ron (my cousin) It is like coming home to come here to Indiana as through the years I have made many trips here but this is our first in the RV. We are now sinking in the east on their lawn! LOL. We will leave indentations for sure for them to remember us by!
We got to watch the Royal Showmanship class last night. The three top teens showed three different species of animal...hogs, sheep and cattle. The judging was on their showmanship and not on the animal. The judge was very throrough asking them questions about each animal. It was quite intense! The gal in the blue won...all were excellent and there was only one point difference in winner and second place. The grandstands were full will all eyes on these capable young people. The judge also took his time to share his thoughts about importance of family, farm and perseverance. It was a great time!
Carroll County, Indiana 4-H Fair. This is usually the hottest time of the year. It was hot and sticky when we got here on Wednesday..whew! But by last night a cool northwestern wind came in and by 8 pm I was sure glad I had my flannel shirt with me!
Of course that didn't stop us from eating ice cream as we left the fairgrounds!
