We saw several deer on our evening drive. This one stood still long enough for me to get a picture before he bounded off into the willows by the stream.
This is the forest fire from Debi and Randy's front yard. Yesterday afternoon the sky was filled with smoke! After dinner Randy told us to hop in the truck we were going to go get a closer look at the fire.
Just at dusk, we stopped to see this important bit of Wyoming history at a roadside stop. This is where the Oregon Trail-Lander Cut Off crosses Highway 191.
And...here it is...The Oregon Trail Lander Cut Off....Can you imagine just driving off into the unknown here across miles of sage brush and not much else? Later this became a public "road"....one of the first in this area.
