Here Corky looks at a mural showing the housing at the camp and an American citizen girl with her tag around her neck stating her family name and when to report.
I think this sign tells so much.
This was the lay out of the internment camp...Over 10,000 were kept here. It was a community complete with post office and library and schools.
We watched a movie that showed the Japanese carrying their belongings..and getting on trains. The most pointed narration was when a man shared that they were told that it was for their safety but the guns the guards had, had bayonets on them and they were pointing in at those being interned and not away....very sad
