Here is Corky with her nifty glasses on. She has macular degeneration and these lenses help her to see everything better. We had a great day traveling up the Eastern Sierras.
We are camped in the forest at Glass Creek. It is a lovely place with the great scent of fresh pine!
On our way up Hwy. 395 we stopped to visit Manzanar. This was one of the internment camps for the Japanese during WWII. It was a very emotional place...hard to believe so many had to endure their time here.
Here is the interpretive center which was used as an assembly hall/gymnasium during those years. It has been transformed into an interpretive center to help explain and honor those who spent years behind barbed wire...many as American citizens.
